About the Journal
Jurnal Rekam Medis dan Manajemen Informasi Kesehatan (JURMIK) is a scholarly journal dedicated to contributing to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in the fields of medical records, health information management, and other related disciplines. JURMIK provides a platform for academics, researchers, scientists, healthcare professionals, and practitioners to disseminate high-quality research and scholarly work that contributes to the development of knowledge, practice, and innovation in the field of health information management. The journal is published by the Undergraduate Program in Health Information Management, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Nasional Karangturi, Indonesia.
JURMIK is published twice a year, in June and December.
JURMIK began its publication journey in 2021 and has been published by the Undergraduate Program in Health Information Management, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Nasional Karangturi, Indonesia.
Journal History

2021 - First Publication: JURMIK began its publication journey with its first issue published in December 2021. The journal was established to provide a scientific platform for academics, researchers, students, healthcare professionals, and practitioners to disseminate research findings and scholarly work related to medical records and health information management.

2022-2024 - Development and Expansion: During this period, JURMIK continued its regular publication and focused on strengthening its role in scientific communication. The journal gradually developed its editorial and publication practices while expanding its visibility through registration and inclusion in relevant indexing and abstracting services. These efforts aimed to improve the accessibility and dissemination of published articles to a broader academic and professional audience.

2025 - Preparation for National Accreditation: In April 2025, JURMIK began the preparation process for national journal accreditation through the Science and Technology Index (SINTA) accreditation system. This process involved strengthening the journal's editorial management, publication quality, documentation, and compliance with the applicable national journal accreditation requirements.

2026 - SINTA 4 Accreditation and Quality Improvement: In February 2026, JURMIK officially received its SINTA 4 accreditation. The accreditation was applicable to articles published starting from the 2023 issue, in accordance with the validity period stated in the accreditation decree. In the same year, JURMIK continued its efforts to improve publication quality through the implementation of an updated manuscript template aimed at enhancing the consistency, clarity, and professional presentation of published articles. JURMIK also initiated the preparation and application process for inclusion in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) as part of its commitment to strengthening publication transparency, open-access practices, and international visibility.

JURMIK continues to strengthen its editorial standards, publication quality, and journal management practices. Through continuous improvement and adherence to recognized standards of scholarly publishing, the journal aims to enhance its contribution to scientific communication and expand its visibility at both national and international levels.
