Author Guidelines

Categories of Submission
1. Research Article
 

A full-length article which reports empirical investigations on the issues of the following areas:

  • English language teaching (ELT) approaches and methodologies.
  • English literacy education.
  • Language assessment.
  • Distant and blended learning in ELT.
  • Linguistic and applied linguistics studies.
  • Second language acquisition.
  • Discourse studies.
  • Translation studies.
  • English literature in ELT.
  • Topics in teaching/learning language skills.
  • Information technology in ELT.
  • Curriculum and materials development.
  • English for specific purposes.
  • Research in ELT.
  • Book reviews.

The length should be from 4000 to 7000 words (including abstract, tables, charts, references, figures or any other appendices).

The article should be typed in Times New Roman with normal margin, 11 in the font size, 10 pt in line spacing between paragraphs and 1 in line spacing.

   
2. Critical Review Article
 

A non-empirical short article that consists of critical reviews on a range of works on the issues of the following areas:

  • English language teaching (ELT) approaches and methodologies.
  • English literacy education.
  • Language assessment.
  • Distant and blended learning in ELT.
  • Linguistic and applied linguistics studies.
  • Second language acquisition.
  • Discourse studies.
  • Translation studies.
  • English literature in ELT.
  • Topics in teaching/learning language skills.
  • Information technology in ELT.
  • Curriculum and materials development.
  • English for specific purposes.
  • Research in ELT.
  • Book reviews.

The length should be between 3000 and 5000 words (not including abstract, tables, charts, references, figures or any other appendixes).

The article should be typed in Times New Roman with normal margin, 11 in the font size, 10 pt in line spacing between paragraphs and 1 in line spacing.

   
Structure of the Manuscripts
1. Title
  The title should not exceed 14 words.
   
2. Author(s), e-mail address(es) and affiliation(s)
  This section should contain the full title of your paper and not exceeding 25 words, with the name of all the authors, institutions and corresponding author’s name, institution and full address (Street address, telephone number, and e-mail address) for editorial correspondence. The corresponding author must be clearly indicated with a superscripted asterisk symbol (*). The name of the author(s) should be named in full without academic titles. Multiple authors with different addresses must indicate their respective addresses separately by superscript numbers.
 
3. Abstract
  Abstract must be provided to describe the content of the manuscript. It should be between 200 and 250 words including the keywords. It is usually in one paragraph and Keywords. Keywords should be no more than 8 keywords in alphabetical order.
 
4. Body
 

The body consists of the following sections:

  • Introduction.
  • Literature Review.
  • Methods.
  • Findings and Discussions.
 
5. Conclusion and/or implications
 
6. References
 

References are listed in alphabetical order by the first author’s last name. Only references cited within the text should be included. All references should be in 11-point font and 1-spaced.

NOTE: When formatting your references, please follow the APA-reference style (6th or 7th edition). You may refer to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association for further details.
 
7. Supplementary data/appendices
  All appendices should be placed on this section.
